Ngala Private Game Reserve

Tucked within the heart of the Kruger National Park, &Beyond Ngala Private Game Reserve spans 14,700 hectares (36,324 acres) of exclusive wilderness. It was the first private game reserve to be incorporated into Kruger — a bold conservation milestone that continues to shape its story today. Its name means “lion” in the local Shangaan language, and true to that legacy, Ngala supports some of South Africa’s most powerful lion prides, alongside thriving populations of elephant, leopard, buffalo, rhino and the elusive African wild dog. For those truly lucky, there’s the rare chance to glimpse the legendary white lions.



Here, off-road and on-foot exploration is not only allowed — it’s essential. With no fences and only a handful of vehicles, wildlife moves as it always has.
