Gombe National Park

Gombe National Park is Tanzania's smallest national park and one of Africa's most famous primate destinations. Situated on the eastern shore of Lake Tanganyika, the park is renowned as the site where Jane Goodall began her groundbreaking chimpanzee research in 1960. The park is accessible only by boat from Kigoma and offers exceptional chimpanzee trekking in a lush forest setting.

Most visitors travel by:



Scheduled flight to Kigoma Airport.
